We Need Shavings... SERIOUSLY!!!

The struggling economy has made it extremely difficult to maintain our normal, high standards of cleanliness here at the Corral.  Cleanliness is paramount in limiting the transmission of communicable diseases.  We are spending over $500... That's FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS every 4 days in shavings.  That's over $4000 a month.  Four thousand dollars translates into 40 babies a month that meet a tragic end due to our lacking resources.  We are desperate for your help.  If you can spare any shavings, PLEASE DO!  We will take bagged shavings or loose shavings.  Don't think that your donation is too small to matter.  $20 will buy us 3-4 bags of shavings...  a chip off of the block of burden that rests on our shoulders every day.  If you board your horse, please ask your barn manager if they would be willing to donate any shavings to our ever so worthy cause.  Any and all donations are tax deductable.  To those of you that call and say, "Thank you for what you do... I wish I could adopt, but I can't...", THIS is your opportunity to help us help them.  If you are a reasonable distance from the Athens area, we will pick it up.  Please spread the word- it takes a village to raise these babies.  Otherwise, baby horses will die.  Just kidding... but really.  You have to keep a certain level of humor in you mindset when you work with situations as tragic as ours.
